James Brown event at Boots Oxford Street, London

Blame Agent Provocateur: were it not for their fashion show and party last night, at which Daisy Lowe's Marc Bolan-esque hair and make-up - not to mention nipple tassles and bum cleavage, stole the show - James Brown might have been on time for his special hair consultations with Boots customers on Oxford Street today.
As it was, the late night had caused Mr. Brown to send a member of his team, Chris, who also worked at the event and was a little bleary-eyed for it, to hold the fort until his arrival. The James Brown hair stand, for which his best friend Kate Moss is the face (and hair), is giving free hair consultations today, as well as samples from the James Brown hair care line. I gossiped with assistant Katie about last night's event - the heat! The paparazzi when Kate Moss arrived! - while allaboutyou.com's Bernie Fallon and I were given expert hair styling tips from Chris. His advice for my fine, flyaway hair? Use mousse.
Later, trudging back to the office with our goodie bags, Bernie mused on how glad she is that mousse is finally enjoying a long-overdue revival. To which I concurred, and thought about how I can use it to get me some of that Daisy Lowe-style hair.
