Cleansing and Toning are important elements of your skincare regime.
Cleansers sweep away make-up and dirt impurities by dissolving them. They also lift out any impurities. Pour the cleanser into the palm of your hand - you only need about the size of a £2 coin and apply with your fingertips.  Gently massage into the skin using upward motions. Leave for 30-60 seconds (this will allow the product to do its job!) before wiping or washing off. The result is clean fresh skin! 

It's important to follow with a complimentary toner. Toners freshen the skin and remove any small traces of the cleanser and help restore your skin to its natural pH. Simply pour onto a damp cotton wool pad and sweep across the skin using upwards motions avoiding the delicate eye area - the eye area is very delicate and the skin here is very thin so more prone to sagging and wrinkling prematurely.

The cooling ingredients will temporarily tighten the pores and the skin is refreshed and ready to moisturise.

Different skin types are suited to different types of cleansers and toners. For Oily Skin use oil-free formulations and anti-bacterial lotions and use toners containing alcohol or with oil absorbing ingredients such as No7 Beautifully Balanced Purifying Toner for Oily to Combination Skin. For Dry and Extra Dry Skin try using wipe off cleansing creams and alcohol free toners such as Elizabeth Arden Hydra-Splash Alcohol-Free Toner. For Normal Skin try wash or wipe off cleansers such as The Sanctuary Spa Deep Cleansing Wipes. Alcohol and alcohol free toners are suitable for normal skin.

Sensitive skin?

Choose hypoallergenic cleansers and toners designed for dry skin as these will help protect the delicate skin barrier of sensitive skin. Do not use alcohol toners or foaming wash products.
