"There is a lot of monochrome on the catwalks for A/W 08. When wearing this trend, cool colours can make the face look pale and washed out so make sure that you bring warmth to the face.

Opt for matte, pale, soft skin with warm brown eye make-up with a slight orange tone (following on from the big orange theme in Spring/Summer). Use skintone coloured eyeliner in the inner rim of the eye and add a very fine line of liquid liner above the upper lid for definition. Keep lips pale using nude lipsticks with a hint of pink. Use a brownish toned blusher on the cheeks to add warmth.

As well as monochrome, menswear has almost become womenswear with lots of sharp tailored suits. As the clothing is so masculine it is important to keep your make-up feminine and not too harsh. Bronze and gold on the lids, pale lips and slight definition of the cheekbone work well with this style."
